My 100th post
Yeah!!! It's my 100th post!! The fireworks are for a touchdown at the University of Illinois football game but I thought it was appropriate for my 100th celebration!! Make sure you click on the photo to enlarge it and really see the detail!!
Picture that the crowd is going wild and the cheerleaders are screaming and doing their stunts...you might think it is for the University of Illinois football team but I like to think that the "I" on their uniform is for Inverness and they are cheering because it is my 100th post!!!!! But you can think what you'd like.
Thanks for coming and visiting and leaving your comments. I have truly enjoyed doing this and meeting all of you. Thanks to Denton for all his help and Eric and Igor for starting the City Daily Photo Blog. I have learned so much. And you have all inspired me to try and be a better "point and shooter"!!! You all are wonderful!!
Just in case you can't tell...the colors for the University of Illinois are orange and white and a little blue!!!

Congratulations on reaching your 100th post! I wished I had tracked my 100th. I've never fireworks during the day, but it seems appropriate for your milestone. You should have requested a jet fly-by too. :)

Congratulations on reching your 100th post Neva !
ReplyDeleteI wish you to go on as good as you done.
Oh My! Neva, these are terrific photos! I couldn't believe it when I saw them full size - I have never seen such crowds at a sporting event but what is even more breathtaking is the fact it's a university game! We don't even get attendances like that at a premier league event. Perhaps the absence of thuggery and violence is the key to this success. Super shot and well done to you for that 100th post achievement!
ReplyDeletewoohoo! hooray! congratulations! great job, neva!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, Neva!!
ReplyDeleteDid I mention already, that we have been living 11 months near Inverness, but in Scotland and long time ago!
I did not learn English, because I was at home with my one year old daughter, but I learned to listen
fluently!

Here sooner than I thought. Congrats on your 100th post! What an appropriate post. I love how you thought out this one.
ReplyDeleteHere is to 100 more great posts.
ReplyDeleteWFW, It is not usual to have huge crowds at a 'uni' game. They are more popular than the professional leagues. Many of the stadiums have a capacity of 90,000 plus people.
Congratulations on your 100th post ... The crowd was very appreciative of your accomplishment ... I hope you wore orange.
ReplyDeletewell done on reaching your first ton!

Impressive. I wish I had enough readers to fill a football stadium and celebrate my 100th post. With fireworks no less.
ReplyDeleteI live in Florida, and although I didn't go to the University of Florida, I thought they treated Ron Zook terribly when he was down here as coach. He did a good job and it was mainly his recruits that won the football national championship last year.
I hope he does as well for Illinois in the coming years. He (and the school) deserves it.
