  2. Being a Cubs fan, you are probably experiencing a bit more pain since you came so very close in the last couple of years! While with being a Leaf fan, we get so excited just seeing our guys make the playoffs!!

    Nice photo of the painting.

Thanks for visiting my NorthBayPhoto blog.

  4. I know the work but not the artist. Must have been ground breaking in its day.
This style of art was in fact used by Volkswagen to promote their Citi Golf a few years ago

  5. My goodness Neva he was way ahead of his time don't you think. Of course the Dutch are in a class of their own when it comes to art and design. I like it a lot.

  9. I had a art teacher who told us you really couldn't appreciate this kind of work until you had view dozens of them -- and then he proceeded to show us dozens. It was interesting. But, I can't say that I was anymore excited about it.

  11. I can't really say I'm a big fan of his work. If I was sat at your desk I'd be more interested in the reflections on the wall from the leaves. Reflections fascinate me.

  12. I must say if this was across from my desk I would probally get nothing done. I would stare at it and wonder why he put the colors where he did !

  13. Kind of neat using only the primary colors.

  14. Hello Neva. I saw your Icon pic in comments in a blog. And seeing your Black Lab and your Chocolate Lab ~ I had to come over. :-) Our son and family have 2 Black Labs and we simply "love them to pieces."

  15. This reminds me of a dress I had for my doll in the 60's.

  16. Do you like his work? For me it is not worth that much money.

  17. Well, Dick , I like this one since I've looked at it long enough! Not sure if I could do a whole room since it is all somewhat similar!!!
I like the reflections off of it as well, Mike.
Us Cubs fans can tolerate just about anything but I am not sure I would want a dress out of this!! Thanks for all your nice comments!

  18. I am not familiar with Mondrian and now I know. Don't feel bad about the Cubs, the SF Giants are no better off.

  19. I am naive to painting arts. Thanks for sharing the link with us. Apology on the late visit.
