This is certainly one of the most unusally shaped headstones I'v seen. I'm glad you posted it. And I'm glad you visit my blog and leave comments. Thanks!
Tombstones is not my favourite theme; but your pictures are quite interesting. Thanks for your comments on my blog. I was abroad on a professional trip last week. One day I’ll probably show some pictures from a somehow unusual destination... Trying to recover some time, I’m posting on Germany (Koblenz, December 2005) on Blogtrotter. Have a great week! Gil
I like headstones, I have a picture coming up soon on Wiggers World, about one I came across in a local church. I have been visiting a few grave yards with my camera in hand and I must say I get some odd looks. I now visit them with my partner Jane, we can then share the odd looks. ha!
So, it's warmer than normal there in Inverness? Abraham Lincoln has told me today that it's warmer than usual in Brookville, Ohio, too. I hope all returns to normal for y'all real soon.
This is such an interesting headstone. Strange shape. Like others, I love graveyards and headstones - so long as it's not in the dead of night. Nice photo.
My grandfather was already born when he died (my grandparents were "old" when my mother was born, and my mother was "old" when I was born)..... So I can't help thinking it was not that long ago :-)) I like old headstones. They teach us a lot about people in former times.

ReplyDeleteThe gentrification is slowly spreading in Detroit outward along the river. VERY slowly.
I like visiting old cemeteries also. I hope to have a picture soon of one that I think is rather unusual.

ReplyDeleteMakes me wonder what Inverness was like over 100 years ago!
