Not climbing over the gate......

Unless I climb over the gate, this is it for the little cemetery that is hidden down a lane with a cable wire across it.

  1. cette photo est tres belle, tout en douceur, en tranquillité. un vrai endroit pour venir se recueillir.

this photograph is very beautiful, all carefully, in peace. a true place to come to collect itself. (
Afflicted I do not know how to translate to 'Recueillir')

  2. cemeteries can be fascinating places - I quite often walk through our nearby cemetery as an alternative to the footpath which has no view therefrom.

  3. I was only kidding about you climbing the fence. Some things we just can't get a picture of because it's off limits or dangerous. I enjoyed seeing what you were able to show without climbing the fence.

  4. Great shots! Even if you couldn't get over the fence, I think you have captured the spirit & peacefulness of the place.

  6. I just read a question in a book today and it was; What do you want your obituary to say about you? And, another one was; What do you want your tombstone to say if you could some it up in just a few words? That maybe a neat photo for theme day is to go to cemeteries and take a photo of something interesting on a stone.

  8. There's a lot to be learned from inscriptions on tombstones. This cemetery looks like a very nice resting place.
Thank you for visiting Selma, Ala. Daily Photo.

  9. This looks like a tranquil place for eternal rest. And it also looks as if the descendants are taking good care of the cemetery as well.

  11. This is such a lovely and serene setting! Very simple, bucolic and meaningful. A while ago we also posted a photo of a cemetery with similar atmosphere: http://bostonweeklyphoto.blogspot.com/2006_10_01_archive.html
