This barn is actually in unincorporated Inverness on the southern border. There used to be quite a few barns in the area but most of them fell into disuse and then fell down or had to be knocked down....The farmhouse with this barn is now a law office...This one's for Dot!
That's a lovely barn. It reminds me of growing up in Ohio and driving around with my parents to look at old barns and covered bridges.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful barn. And photograph.
ReplyDeleteNeva, thanks so much for leaving comments on Riviera Dogs - super of you - but I've not got you listed on the DP photo portal list. Why?
Am glad to have found you. Shouldn't you be on the DP list?

A very beautiful barn. The ivy just adds lots to the scene.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my NorthBayPhoto blog.
Thanks so much for showing this barn for me! It's a beauty and nice that it was able to be put to good use. I don't see many barns like that around here.
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone, Jilly, Eric and Igor are working on why I don't show up...I have always been a little different!
ReplyDeleteFor some reason this reminds me of Robert James Waller's Bridges of Madison County. I like it!

I love it when old buildings find new life.
ReplyDeleteThanks for all your comments on Madison Daily Photo - I appreciate it! Jilly's right - you're not on the portal.
Hi Neva, just came back to say I like your profile photo and your pretty dog! I didn't notice it when I came by with my comment earlier and only noticed it with your comment on my blog-- And yes, I did wonder when you were going to get on the list. I, too, had some figuring out to do with the portal and such...
ReplyDeleteFirst, thanks for your regular visits and comments to Blogtrotter; sorry I can't manage to come here everyday, but it's a treat anytime I come!
ReplyDeleteThe barn looks nice, but what does a law office around?
I guess you must want to go to this law office...by appointment only, I might add...It is not on the beaten trail!
ReplyDeleteThanks for all your good wishes...hopefully I will be on the portal soon!
Thanks for stopping by my blog and sharing your thoughts on the "Cell Phone" topic.

We use to rent a place in Middleville Michigan that had a large barn. The owner always warned me not to leave the doors open as a good wind could blow up the barn from the inside out. I always wondered what that would look like..... :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo! I love barns!
