Cabela's-another view

On the opposite side of the fall scene is the winter scene at Cabela's. There are little tags next to all the animals that say when and where they were located/shot( I assume). Some of the tags are from the 70's. It is nice to know that the taxidermists know how to make them last!

  4. It is certainly an art form... but I'd rather see them running around. That dose not mean I disaprove of hunting or shooting.. it's more of a personal thing.

I'd certainly find it of interest to walk around such a place.

  6. Happy New Year, and thanks for stopping by at Cape Town Daily Photo! This is a beautiful display - I prefer to think that those animals all died peacefully in their sleep, at a ripe old age, and that a friendly taxidermist just happened to be passing by at the time. The alternative isn't appealing. :)

  7. Great shot! I've posted several Cabella photos on my photo blog, as well. It's a great store! I've only been to one in Nebraska (I think) once, though.

  9. Cabela's is more than a store. It is the greatest outdoor experience you can have inside! Here in the Dallas area we have Bass Pro Shops which are kind of like this.

  12. This is cool when you click on it to make it bigger so you see it good! Pretty neat, except for all the dead animals.

  13. Hi Neva
I have never been able to understand trophy hunting - I much prefer to see the animals in their natural state. Having said that the place must be quite impressive
