Not a Partridge in a Pear tree

While walking the dogs yesterday, we passed these bushes/trees and the birds were very vocal! I am not sure what kind of birds they are but I was surprised I was able to see them to snap them.

  1. They look like sparrows, don't they? Last night I watched "The Birds" by Hitchcock.... Still scary. Thank you for your nice comment on my blog, dear Neva.

  5. I sometimes think the smaller the bird the louder their song.

  6. Love the fall colors in the photo. I can't see the birds either. I think I need new glasses. :-)

Belated Happy New Year to you and your family.

  7. I'd go along with Sparrows, over here in England these birds are on the decline for reason unknown as yet. We'd see large flocks of them each day, but now we see the odd 1 or 2 a week.

  11. It's like a puzzle. How many birds can you spot? I think I can only count 4.

  12. They look like sparrows to me also.
How neat to have them all in one tree!

  14. I would also say sparrows, although I have not seen sparrows with a white underbelly. We used to have gray ones many years ago. Now, you rarely hear/see any birds in the city because the green cover is gone, taken over by buildings with no open space and no trees. We are lucky to have a few trees in our house and we see hear some birds in the morning before the traffic and the honking begins. Thanks for your visit and your kind words. Sorry I have not been able to visit often and regularly as before.

  15. four little sparrows nicely captured. The light outside my window this morning seems just right to capture the visiting robins - they come and pose but as soon as I lift my camera up they are off.
