A garden above
This is a hot dog stand near my Mother-in-Law's house. We went to pick up some food and I couldn't resist taking a shot of this. I have no idea what this vegetable is....I thought it was a cucumber or a squash or something in that family but I have never seen either of those this shape. Maybe it is from gravity? The vine was all through the patio roof and hangs down off the trellis. It was just unbelievable to see. Thought you might like it!

Beautiful vine. That must be nice to be under in hot weather.
ReplyDeleteThanks too, for visiting my blog and for your comment about dad's clock.
The most beuatiful place the eat an hot dog I´ve ever seen.
ReplyDeleteI reckon that´s a cucumber trying to grow himself into something big... who knows, maybe he heard about being in the Guinness Book of Records thus avoiding ending in someones salad?
I think it's bottle gourd/calabsh ..does the vine produce white flowers??

Abe-I love stories about parents that are so sweet...still waiting on your piece about why people comment on blogs or not!
il est tres mignon ce petit coin, cela fait penser au restaurant qui se trouve le long de la Seine.
ReplyDeleteit is very nice this small corner, that made think of the restaurant which is along the Seine.
Great spot!! The vine is amazing!!!
ReplyDeleteHot dogs give me indigestion but I could happily sit there and have a drink.
I clicked to enlarge the pic and was amazed at how big it was, Neva. WOW.
ReplyDeleteI have no idea but it sure is pretty and unusual and I love hot dogs!
ReplyDeleteI hope you will join in ABC Wednesday tomorrow. Just post something that starts with an F.
That's a lovely spot. I've never seen a vine like that before. What an interesting plant! Now I'm hungry for a hot dog after reading your post.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. Looks like a lovely place!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great place to eat a Hot-Dog, if only all places could look so nice and welcoming. 'Hold The Gerkin, I'll pick my own thanks'

ReplyDeleteGreat place, great photo.
ReplyDeleteHot-Dog, please !!!
It looks like a really big bean. Maybe they compost with left over hot dogs.
ReplyDeleteVery strange vegetable, but what it is ???????????????????
ReplyDeletelooks like a pretty place...
ReplyDeleteIs it a snake bean I wonder?
ReplyDeleteYour hot dog "stand" is one of the classiest I've ever seen! The veggie looks like the pale green variety of zucchini I see at the market farmers in summer, which are much longer/larger than the regular ones.
