SKy Watch Friday

Ok---I love ABC Wednesday but now I am going to try-at least for today_SkyWatch Friday. (I feel obligated to visit everyone on the list when I do this as it seems only the right thing to do which is why I have resisted. There are many skywatchers!!!) A storm was rolling in and it started to rain just a little bit after I took this shot.
I hope you have a chance to drop by Tom's and either sign up or visit some (if not all!) of the skywatch team!
I made it through the 179 on the list...yeah me! and saw some amazing things! the sky around the world is lovely.

  10. Hello there my friend.. :O)
Neva I never expect anyone to visit all, I just ask that you can visit as many as you can but do not let it spoil the fun of sky Watch or indeed blogging.

Anyhow thank you Neva for joining in with your 'Stormy Sky' I do hope you enjoy it today and come back again next week.

  15. Hi Neva, welcome to sky watch. Though I am a relatively newcomer myself. It is quite a moody shot - rain or snow?.

  17. Great shot. It usually takes me two days to visit all or most on the list. There are so many good and interesting sites.

  20. "Louis" is happy to see you "Skywatching", Neva!

Those storm clouds remind "Louis" of summer skies in his native Texas Panhandle.

  21. I know what you mean about visiting blogs...I always feel like a snob if I don't visit other's blogs when people leave such nice comments...I have just spent the last two hours trying to visit as many as I can....it is fun though, like a trip around the world...great photo, by the way.
    Cheers,
    Scotty

  23. My wife got the whole lawn mowed and the grass was wet so it took an extra hour to clean out the mower. I wonder if you got the rain you talked about? This is a nice skywatch photograph.

I too am overwhelmed by the number of people doing Sky Watch - with my phone lines I can barely visit all those that visit me!!!

  52. Welcome, Neva!

This is a very nice shot. Very soft and inviting despite the stormy sky.

Just do what you can. I try to visit as many as time permits - some weeks more than others. No one is keeping track. I think the only thing I (personally) notice is if there is someone who does not comment on any blogs. But everyone understands time limitations. Come back!

  53. Neva---You can do birds with that nice camera of yours. I have a Canon Power shot--not a big as yours. the eagle pic was fairly easy because there were 2 eagles lazily going in circles in the sky. I have to find them and then zoom in until the object is fuzzy and then i hope and pray and take the pic. Dumb luck counts. MB

  54. The lamp post adds just the right touch and counters the threatening sky. Lovely.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Beautiful sky!

And thanks for visiting me...I did some correction on the post and a note on your comment...Northern Lights IS the Aurora Borealis...but my "Northern Light" reference was only regarding the extended daylight hours in the very northern U.S. and other northern places in the world - not quite "land of the midnight sun" though :) ! Sorry for my confusing terminology on the post.

  56. Great Sky watch photo. Very dramatic.

  60. That house looks like the place to be with that storm coming in! I got a lamp post in my skywatch too, but I like how yours is lit! Good for you to make a visit to everyone who participated. I didn't get a chance to this time, maybe next week!

  61. Hi Neva! Here I am for the weekly visit… ;)
