SKy Watch Friday
Ok---I love ABC Wednesday but now I am going to try-at least for today_SkyWatch Friday. (I feel obligated to visit everyone on the list when I do this as it seems only the right thing to do which is why I have resisted. There are many skywatchers!!!) A storm was rolling in and it started to rain just a little bit after I took this shot.
I hope you have a chance to drop by Tom's and either sign up or visit some (if not all!) of the skywatch team!
I made it through the 179 on the list...yeah me! and saw some amazing things! the sky around the world is lovely.

Did the storm come? That is quite a sky, and the neighborhood looks very quiet!
ReplyDeleteNice sky Neva! I'm trying to visit everyone this time around. So far I'm caught up but what will I wake up to tomorrow? lol.
ReplyDeleteThat is a great sky for SWF!
ReplyDeleteNice sky watch photo. The place looked very peaceful.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous shot! Happy Sky Watching; let me know if you are successful at visiting everyone on the list, lol.
ReplyDeleteGlad you joined Sky Watch...you got a great sky here. I think I visited every one a time or two, but if you plan to visit everyone be prepared! It just keeps getting bigger and bigger.
ReplyDeleteThat looks like one of those scary storms.
ReplyDeleteNice stormy sky photo.
ReplyDeleteThe midwest has been hit hard with storms this spring, stay safe.
ReplyDeleteI love being able to see the storm line.
I hope you were in the house warmly before the storm arrived.
ReplyDeleteHave a good weekend! :)
Hello there my friend.. :O)
ReplyDeleteNeva I never expect anyone to visit all, I just ask that you can visit as many as you can but do not let it spoil the fun of sky Watch or indeed blogging.
Anyhow thank you Neva for joining in with your 'Stormy Sky' I do hope you enjoy it today and come back again next week.
Very nice stormy sky. Beautiful place and peaceful!
ReplyDeletewelcome to SWF...btw lovely shot
ReplyDeleteHope you visit mine too Thanks
i love ur neighbourhood...so peace and quite. great sky pic
ReplyDeleteWill you visit mine Thanks
Beautiful house, and a great stormy sky.
ReplyDeleteThe house looks so cozy, I can see myself sitting by the window curled up with a good book and listening to it rain.
ReplyDeleteHi Neva, welcome to sky watch. Though I am a relatively newcomer myself. It is quite a moody shot - rain or snow?.
ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful house. I love storms, and I love watching them.
ReplyDeleteGreat shot. It usually takes me two days to visit all or most on the list. There are so many good and interesting sites.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the visit,
Troy
Great shot.Your neighbourhood looks a nice peaceful place.
ReplyDeletela photo est très belle, mais vraiment elle semble inquiétante.
ReplyDeletethe picture is very beautiful, but it seems really disturbing.
"Louis" is happy to see you "Skywatching", Neva!
ReplyDeleteThose storm clouds remind "Louis" of summer skies in his native Texas Panhandle.
I know what you mean about visiting blogs...I always feel like a snob if I don't visit other's blogs when people leave such nice comments...I have just spent the last two hours trying to visit as many as I can....it is fun though, like a trip around the world...great photo, by the way.
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Scotty
Welcome Neva, and what a beautilly serene photograph that is (with a touch of dark menace!) :)
ReplyDeleteMy wife got the whole lawn mowed and the grass was wet so it took an extra hour to clean out the mower. I wonder if you got the rain you talked about? This is a nice skywatch photograph.
ReplyDeleteGreat shot - very dark and menacing!!!
ReplyDeleteI too am overwhelmed by the number of people doing Sky Watch - with my phone lines I can barely visit all those that visit me!!!
Let me say I am pretty glad you joined us, even if it just to give it a try.
ReplyDeleteAnd you make a nice entrance with the house under stormy skies!
Hope you enjoy.
Welcome to Sky Watch Friday, Neva! Hope you are staying. Great picture!
ReplyDeleteNot the way I prefer the sky!
ReplyDeleteIs the car hesitating in front of the four garages?
Neva: Very nicely done for yur first shot at SWF. The sky shot can be very addictive if you start.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stoppping by.
Looks calm, although they sky does look ominous.
ReplyDeleteMenacing....yes but it does also show that sleep time is near! Great sky watch!
ReplyDeleteIt does looks stormy. I love a good storm. I could watch them over and over... they don't frighten me at all!
ReplyDeleteWelcome .. and what a lovely first 'shot' that is ..
ReplyDelete:-Daryl

ReplyDeletegreat shot and a beautiful place
ReplyDeleteWonderful first photo Neva! Glad to have you...I think I've seen about 100 photos today...don't you love this?
ReplyDeleteI look forward to seeing more of your shots!
So did it come? And how was it? Sometimes big storms are so very awesome. Thanks for visiting, by the way.
ReplyDeleteHello again Neva.. just called back to see how you did and rad a few comments.. Seems you did very well. I hope you enjoyed it and come back for more.
ReplyDeleteTom
Welcome, Neva!
ReplyDeleteThis is a very nice shot. Very soft and inviting despite the stormy sky.
Just do what you can. I try to visit as many as time permits - some weeks more than others. No one is keeping track. I think the only thing I (personally) notice is if there is someone who does not comment on any blogs. But everyone understands time limitations. Come back!
Neva---You can do birds with that nice camera of yours. I have a Canon Power shot--not a big as yours. the eagle pic was fairly easy because there were 2 eagles lazily going in circles in the sky. I have to find them and then zoom in until the object is fuzzy and then i hope and pray and take the pic. Dumb luck counts. MB
ReplyDeleteThe lamp post adds just the right touch and counters the threatening sky. Lovely.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sky!
ReplyDeleteAnd thanks for visiting me...I did some correction on the post and a note on your comment...Northern Lights IS the Aurora Borealis...but my "Northern Light" reference was only regarding the extended daylight hours in the very northern U.S. and other northern places in the world - not quite "land of the midnight sun" though :) ! Sorry for my confusing terminology on the post.
Great Sky watch photo. Very dramatic.
ReplyDeleteI like this one, nice and quiet.
ReplyDeletethe sky certainly is beautiful, no matter where you look at it from
ReplyDeleteIncoming storms can be so dramatic. Nice entry in the SkyWatch
ReplyDeleteYou captured this photo just right.
ReplyDeleteThat house looks like the place to be with that storm coming in! I got a lamp post in my skywatch too, but I like how yours is lit! Good for you to make a visit to everyone who participated. I didn't get a chance to this time, maybe next week!
ReplyDeleteHi Neva! Here I am for the weekly visit… ;)
ReplyDelete179? did you comment on all of them; it must have taken you the whole Friday and Saturday... ;))
Must confess that I prefer the Golf Club... ;)
Thanks for your comment on Blogtrotter, which has now landed in the imperial town of Marrakesh, the Red City!
Hope you enjoy and have a great weekend!
Great photo, Neva. And you're amazing--179! Wowsers!
ReplyDeleteWow, you visited all 179 of us?! I am impressed. Welcome to SWF!!!Love your pic... so ominous looking. Nothing like a good storm...
