Baby Robins
The robins are back in the nest that has been on top of our gazebo door for a few years. My husband keeps saying he is going to move it (due to the bird poop on the door into our gazebo) but I won't let him. I am amazed that they keep using the same nest. The mommy robin screamed at me while I was taking this shot.....pretty intensely I might add!

il est très mignon, belle photo, il n'a pas eut peur de ton appareil photo ?
ReplyDeleteit is very cute, beautiful photo, he was not afraid of your camera?
I think if I were a bird and you poked your lens at me this close I'd scream too!
ReplyDeletebrilliant pic
Do you remember I went through the whole robin family process last summer? It was an intense time for me as I was worried about hawks but none showed up the whole time the babies were in the nest and after they left. I think the mommas are back from that group as they are investigating the same place like your's have done.
ReplyDeleteYou did get a beautiful photograph of them. And wait until it gets a little warmer and they get a little sleepy and you will be able to use your new Rebel to get some fantastic sleepy shots. LOL
I got a new Rebel, the XSi which I like a lot too.
Neat shot Neva.. I have been keeping my eyes open for one of our Robins nest but I have had no luck yet.. maybe my friend Peter will have.
ReplyDeleteNice of you to defend the nest! Tell your husband that you are backed up by all your blogging friends!
ReplyDeletePlease Neva, don't let your husband destroy the nest!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful shot.
ReplyDeleteThese little guys are all mouth at this age aren't they LOL.
Nestlings are so vulnerable at this stage - it must drive poor momma nearly crazy. Well-captured Neva.
Adorable! What cute little guys.
ReplyDeleteThis is a stunner! Great job done here.
ReplyDeleteWe have a robin nest this year also. It is on our window to the bathroom. I will have to post pics soon. There are three eggs and we are waiting for them to hatch.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great close up! Glad you didn't let your husband move the nest :)
ReplyDeleteWow, this is a very interesting shot. Looks like the bird is forming out of some sort of smoke.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great photo. So glad the nest stayed!
ReplyDeleteThat's a wonderful shot! My parents have a robin and a blackbird nesting in their garden, and the birds give as good as they can whenever they try to go out into the garden!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment on Glasgow DP - much appreciated!
Such a wonderful, sweet photo!
ReplyDeleteFantastic shot.
ReplyDeletehey are so ugly that they are beautiful. We had a pair of leser striped swallows that nested outside our kitchen for many years. They would always arrive on the second saturday in September and immediately start rebuilding their nest, even though it often did not need rebuilding. They made a mess, but because they were so delightful we accepted it.
