Golden Gate again

We went from one side of town to the other. San Francisco it 7 miles by 7 miles....not that big for a major city! If you look very very closely, you can see the communication tower waaay back on the hills. We were there and then drove here.
My post from yesterday, Lynette found what the statue is. And I quote from wikipedia:
A sculpture, "Cupid's Span" by Claes Oldenburg and Coosje van Bruggen, was built in 2003 along the Rincon Park area. Resembling Cupid's bow and arrow with the arrow implanted in the ground, the statue symbolizes the place where Tony Bennett "left his heart". Thanks Lynette!

Now I know why the announcer on the Disney bus says Disney World is as big as San Francisco!

  5. One of the world's iconic images I think. I have enjoyed your San Francisco photos very much, and, as always, learnt something too.

  6. I have a shot almost exactly like that one. I bet we stood in or around the same spot.

  8. Wow, you really made your way around SF. That is Sutro Tower in the background. As a kid, I remember all the hoopla when the tower went up.

  9. Yes, a bit surprised that you don't mention Sausalito. When I was in SF (last time many years ago), you just HAD to go there! ... but the bridge itself is nice enough!
