Yoga Monk

I do not know much about Yoga....but my daughter loves it....keeps her flexible and fit and whatever else she says it does. She invited me down for a yoga class with a master monk...(ok I am not sure what he is really called....a monk is what I heard)....and I went yesterday to the University of Illinois to take this class with her.The monks were in orange as a sign of celibacy and rejuvenation (I think). While it was a gentle, relaxing 1 and 1/2 hours, I still don't think I will be taking up yoga....My body just does not move that way anymore....

  1. Plus, I would always worry about having a perfect pedicure.

I like the idea of yoga, but I'm not sure how well my body would cooperate.

I apologise for this "mass comment" but I could do with your help today over at South Shields Daily Photo. Help promote the rights of photographers!

  3. My other half (Phoebe) does yoga. I can't do it. I struggle to touch my toes! Perhaps I should do it more and I might be able to touch them!

  4. That's great! The first two lines could have been written by me, lol. My oldest daughter loves Yoga. I'm still waiting for the invitation, though!

  5. My wife likes Yoga as well. However, I understand there are different levels and I would recommend those that focus on stretching and balance. Stay away from the moves which might hurt you ... The perspective and color in your photo is very appealing.

  6. I heard some people have gotten injured for not doing yoga correctly. It's kind of an intimidating form of exercise for me with all those stretches and movements.

Regarding my "Looking Up" post, the middle photo was not a light, but more like Christmas tree ornaments.

  10. Yoga, taken up by the middle-aged set is a neurosugeon's friend! I can testify to this because we see a lot of folks come in for back/neck problems when they "try to get into shape."
