Olympic Beach volleyball


I am not sure what I thought when I saw the beach volleyball field on TV during the Olympics, but I don't think it was that they had brought a beach in to an arena....guess that makes perfect sense!

    I didn't know that either! Great shot, really showing how it was in the stadium. Well a special stadium just for the volleyball, it seems.

    Cool photo. But really, this begs the question, WHY is beach volleyball an Olympic sport?

    And I kind of find it silly since you can't really recreate the iffy conditions of a beach tournament — how deep the dry sand is on top of the wet sand, the sun, the wind… But my husband really enjoys watching the 'babes.' ;D
