A Cooling Lake
This is a cooling lake for the electric plant near this...no swimming allowed...but I thought the sky was lovely. Emjoy all the Sky watchers hosted by Tom.
A cooling lake for the electric plant makes it sound like power is generated by a nuclear reactor of some type that produces steam that runs the generators that makes the electricity. And for that reason, leaks, you are not supposed to swim in the water. I like it as a SWF post.
My blog post for Sky Watch is on my Canon Pixels and if you have any spare time I would appreciate it if you could take a look at the sun peeking through the oak tree leaves.
Thanks for visiting my blog :-) What a pity that swimming is not allowed here. Looks terrific. Greetings from the Netherlands Wieneke www.hettweededeel.web-log.nl (fellow skywatcher)

ReplyDeleteCooling lake? Now I'm curious as to what that means. Nice photo though! Happy Sky Watch!
ReplyDeleteIt looks just too tempting!! I gather it can't be used for swimming and boating on such a perfect day - too bad!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a cool place - probably a lot of birds out there!
ReplyDeleteCheers, Klaus
I've never heard of a cooling lake. Not very likely for me to swim by a power plant, but I read from your link that the fishing is good.
ReplyDeleteIndeed, a peaceful sky and a restful scene!
