ABC Wednesday V is for Vodka

Not that I am a big hard liquor fan, but these bottles of vodka caught my eye at the grocery store....I only like a little vodka in my tomato juice! Stop and visit at Mrs. Nesbitt's place to see what other participants have come up with for "V"!

  4. Technically speaking, you did two V's in a row. (It's like the week that you did the N's! Nametags, nephews, Neva... etc. ) I say this because art historians also refer to a panel of stained glass as a "vitrine", and I have frequently heard the word in English.

    Quel bel accident!

  22. Great! Vodka was the first V I thought about for myself this week. It´s produces a lot of that product in my country. But I didn´t have any fine photo in my computer. In Sweden we don´t have hard liquor in any grocery stores, we have to go to particulars shop which is state-owned!!! See you next week!

  25. Today I came across this Yiddish proverb for you:

'Odem yesode meofe vesofe leofe' - beyno-lveyno iz gut a trink bronfn.
A man comes from the dust and in the dust he will end - and in the meantime it is good to drink a sip of vodka.

  26. I'm with Dina!
A sip of vodka is always good.
    Great photo.

  27. Hi Neva! Sorry for having taken so long to get back here again. Another hectic week…
Well, vodka may be a bit tough, but I wonder who would reject a Screwdriver or a Sex on the Beach on a hot day... ;))
The stained glass is wonderful, and the suspension bridge a great shot!
Thanks for your comments at Blogtrotter, still in Santiago de Compostela, now inside the Cathedral… Hope you enjoy, and have a nice weekend!

  28. "Louis" must have visited you too early Wednesday - he didn't see this until almost Friday....

So the rumor is that, in truth, you only allow the vodka to get a whiff of the tomato juice. "Louis" knows that rumor is true because he started it himself....

  29. I'm with you in finding the vodka bottles quite beautiful. I'm never had any of it to drink, but I do enjoy looking at them as we walk past them in a store for the artistic designs.
