Theme Day What your city is known for

Our city is known for being an independent community with beautiful homes on acre minimums. There is no industry in our town and our most recognized landmark is the Village Hall.

Please visit all the theme day participants.!

  4. That seems like a castle and yet it is the City Hall. Quite surprising to see a building like this on an almost rural/natural landscape.
    How is the inside?

  11. Our area is very lovely indeed....there are about 6700 people that live in Inverness. It has no industry, nothing but houses, 2 cemeteries and lovely winding roads. The inside is very rustic and it is where some of the residents vote. It is an old building....I don't remember how old....I 'll have to check my facts....don't want to mislead anyone~.Thanks for stopping bye!

  23. Hi Neva, how are you doing? I hope all it's well.

Inverness Village Hall is a very awkward structure. Don't think I've ever seen anything like that before.

    Take care. :)

  26. I agree with Chris, it is slightly fairytaleish. What appear to be towers... are those silos? Very cool.

  27. That looks like 4 rockets ready to take off. Your community has some unique buildings. I wonder what it looks like inside.

  28. This is a village hall?! WOW, it looks like grain towers, then I thought it was a church...what are the towers used for? It certainly is an unusual building.

    ReplyDelete
  29. What a castle!!! My son loved it, I do think the towers are a bit too big....

    ReplyDelete
  30. I thought you were in Scotland !
    Very fine city indeed.

  31. I am not sure what the towers are used for....most people refer to as "the castle"...or at least the people I know! The inside is very rustic....old wood floors....very quaint....and they have a meeting room which is where some of us vote. I will post a different view soon.

  32. Very diferent architecture indeed :)

  33. wow, that sure is a very unusual building. the 4 towers almost hide the central built form. many structures like this one in your area?
