Winged Victory...

I actually have seen this in the Louvre so I was surprised to see this replica of Winged Victory in an office building lobby while I was downtown last night.

  2. Neva, that's a nice statue but since you saw the original I guess you'll agree with me that original is best.
You must come back to see it and then visit Portugal!

  7. Is this one more expensive because it's made of gold?

  8. It's like the Statue of Liberty, you can find it all over the place!

  9. I've seen this wonderful statue in the Louvre, too. I still can't believe I've been able to go to that museum several times on my student trips to Europe.

  10. How lovely...

We didn't see it, because the Louvre was closed on strike, when we were in Paris.

But we saw lots of the 'real Paris,' and that's what I wanted. I was lucky enough to Net-know a young man in Paris, at the time. He met with us, more than once, and made sure I saw 'the real Paris.' :-)
