Leaves are still here

This is the only tree that still has its leaves after our rain and snow and wind the other day. It is a sugar maple and I am perplexed as to why it does still have leaves and every other tree-except the oaks-have lost theirs. Interesting.

  1. Oh it is easy Neve - like I said on a previous blog - some trees are shy and don't want to be seen in their underwear all winter!!!

So you wish a cup of tea? Well, whenever you hop on by...

  4. LOL! Are you sure it's not a Norway Maple? That might explain it. It is funny how some loose their leaves early and others keep them longer.

Our streets look similar to that now, though there are are still a few more leaves on some trees but none I don't think with as many as that.

  7. I like the idea that the tree is shy,
But who knows the reason why
Its beautiful leaves are still there--
Perhaps for the photo for you to share?
