An Inverness Sugar Maple
If you stand at my front door looking out, this is what you see. It is a sugar maple and usually turns a brilliant shade of red...so far...we've made it to orange....the weather is such that I believe the leaves will drop before the red happens!
I would be cheered each and every time I saw such a tree.. it's a beautiful tree, and I'm sure if give you pleasure.. I hope it dose turn red for you, then you can take another picture for us.... I suppose the raking of the leaves might take away just a bit of the beauty at times... ;o)
That is such a wonderful view to have right at your doorstep! It is quite a jump from blue to orange. But I also see some green and yellow. (ref. VIBGYOR :))
Of course you can take whatever quotes and pics you wish, Ms Neva. They are not really "my" quotes. They are either from my collection, or from the Internet if I can't find a suitable one in my collection.
BTW, did you get a couple of emails from me? I sent a couple of links about short video "classes" on digital camera.
Yes, they do usually turn red, don't they? But it's quite beautiful, just the way it is. Even if it never 'makes it' to full brilliant red. :-)
And thank you for replying, about your 'name' link now working. No problem. 'Tis me who keeps forgetting to match people's names with their blog names. -sigh- I guess I'm hopeless. ,-)
Main thing is, I have your photo blog in Google Reader and that's the best way for me to know when a new entry has been made.
Aren't we blessed to have such beauty waiting right outside for us? Then when we take photos, we get to view it again and again, plus share it with everyone.
About Flat Stanley, I get mostly curious looks; some people recognize that he's a Flat Stanley right away.
Lucky you! Our maples are LOOOONG gone, all bare for a couple weeks now, hard freezes every night. So it's a delight to see yours. A step back in time.
What a beautiful orange tree. Its a beautiful thing to have in your front yard.
ReplyDeleteAll I have when I look out the front door is water and coconut trees - this would be a nice change!!!!
ReplyDeleteThat's amazing. Wondferful colors on that tree.
ReplyDeleteStill.... even if it doesn't get to red it is a beautiful tree! What a gorgeous sight to see as you walk out your door!

Orange is also beautiful, our trees have a lot of yellow this year, didn't see red ones.

Lovely perfectly shaped sugar maple. I hope it does turn red before the leaves start to fall.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite fall tree!

We have a sugar maple, too, but it never gets this colorful! Oh, to be up north in the fall!
ReplyDeleteSuch lovely color!
ReplyDeleteIt seems like the tress in my neighborhood went from ever green to bald in like 2 days. We didn't get to see nor enjoy the beautiful fall colors. :-(
ReplyDeleteVery pretty maple. Great shot
