A Jet stream

Coming home from work yesterday, I looked up and saw this. If you enlarge this you should see two jet streams and one regular plane. Aren't I glad I had my camera handy?

  1. I sure am glad you had it with you, Neva. But I can find only one jet stream with a plane out in front of it on the right end of the jet stream, and one plane above it, flying in the opposite direction. What am I missing, please? And thanks so much for visiting my blog!

  2. Shoot, Neva, I can't see it on my little iBook's screen. And I think that spot I thought was a plane at the right end of the jet stream is a spot on MY screen! Thanks for the hint, though.

Love your mother's photograph from the day before. And your friend's of the New River Bridge. Thanks for sharing them.

  5. I think there is a plane on the right end of contrail (condensation trail), but it is not visible because of the altitude or angle. Although it is quite normal to have these trails, there are rumors about conspiracies involving contrails in the US. Do people talk about it there?

Here is a good site (PBS)

  6. I see the Jet stream horizontal and vertical, and the regular one also.
I was visiting my friends house Friday evening, their house is around 5 miles fron Manchester Airport. I saw nine planes in the air at once... a personal record. Most were 'stacked' for landing, and some were the one'c that had taken off. Two were tiny flashing dots high about. It is not uncommon around here, to see 5 or 6as we are so near to the airport, and seem to be on line with used air-space.

I posted a photo of deer today, at least my version. The only one's I could get. And, some snow on my personal blog.
