Midnight Mass in Inverness
Technically, this is in Palatine...St. Theresa Catholic Church....but this is where we attend church....Mood lighting for Midnight Mass....and I can't believe my husband stood next to me and didn't flip out that I was taking pictures in the church!!
I attended a Catholic church in my teens....and how I loved Midnight Mass and Easter Vigil!
We attend a non denominational church now...but there is a new Catholic Church being built near us....and I want to go at Easter if it is having services by then.
Like Kerri, I have good memories of Roman Catholic services particularly at the significant holidays on the Christian calendar. In a lot of ways it seems that protestant churches on the whole and, since Vatican II, increasing numbers of RC churches are embracing relevance rather than reverence in their services. Too bad in my opinion.
nice picture...
ReplyDeleteVery nice indeed...
ReplyDeleteAs for your question, that was chocolate cake...

Lovely picture! Meaningful! Thanks for stopping by my blog. Sorry, no ABC Wed. pic but I have a Skywatch pic up if you'd like to take a look.
ReplyDeleteYou managed to capture a beautiful photo of the church.
ReplyDeleteBut please tell me you didn't use flash. :-)
Great picture of your church. Blogging gives us an excuse to do things we would never do otherwise. I'm glad you did it.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this special moment, Neva.
ReplyDeleteGreat pics in difficult lighting Neva.
