Yes, there really are Flamingos at the Flamingo Hotel and here they are. There was a "keeper' cleaning the area they were in and they were getting pretty agitated...hence the flapping of their wings. They are not as pink as I thought they should be, though.

That's really amazing. We have a lot of flamingoes in the "étangs" near Montpellier but I have never seen any so close to people. I first thought yours were not real flamingoes :-))

ReplyDeleteThey don't feed them enough brine shrimp to encourage the pink color.
ReplyDeleteNeat photo, Neva. I've never seen flamingos doing anything in person except for standing still on one leg.
ReplyDeleteIt is so unique to see these guys in the middle of the Vegas Strip. They are kind of hidden so I didn't discover them until visited Vegas for the upteenth time. I do feel sorry for them when they are stuck outside the desert heat.
