Up close and personal with the falls

Only a few more shots of my trip ....but this is the boat ride known as Maid of the Mist....and with good reason....lots of mist!!! I am only sorry I could not do the falls justice as I was worried about getting my camera wet so I took some very very quick pictures! I hope you can get an idea about the immense scope of these falls.

  2. I've been there several times so I know what you're talking about. We went on the boat too. There's been alot of people who jumped into the falls. One lady from our hometown committed suicide. She was to get married the following week. They said just before she jumped, she handed someone next to her, her purse, and it had a note inside. Then she jumped. Alot of people are never recovered since they can't get that close to the falls. Sad but true.
