A Beached Boat
This is one of the more unusual sites I drive by everyday (click to enlarge....it looks very different!). This sail boat has been here for as long as I can remember. In the background is one of our favorite places to go for hamburgers, Brandt's Little Cafe. It used to be an old farmhouse in Inverness...I am not sure if it has always been on this corner or if it was moved here.....but the sail boat....seems lost. It was pouring the rain when I took this and it seemed to fit the mood.

ReplyDeleteMaybe they were keeping for a rainy day and then decided they needed a bigger boat.
ReplyDeleteHow very strange. You'd imagine, being a public place, someone official would remove it or put up a sign telling everyone what it is!
ReplyDeleteThats funny! It doesn't look very sea worthy, perhaps it was dropped by a big storm and broke in two!
ReplyDeleteThe rain did make it a perfect picture. A split boat. So sad.
ReplyDeleteAs for my blog, the pool has a salt water filter. I am allergic to chlorine.
What's that sign say, Neva, to the left of the front part of the boat? I'm curious if it's somehow connected. Love the raindrops!
ReplyDeleteSure wish we had some of your rain Neva! :)
ReplyDeleteHow did the boats get so far from the water?
ReplyDeleteInitially, I thought it was a post-flood scene where the boats were swept onto the side of the roads.
très surprenant ce bateau coupé en deux.
ReplyDeletevery surprising this boat split in two.
Looks like a big white shark as bitten a chunk from it.
