An Industrial Coyote
You might have to enlarge this to see it and I apologize in advance for the bad quality.....but this Industrial park is very near O'Hare airport and as we were driving home, this coyote ran right in front of the car and took off up this side road.....who knew that wildlife was thriving so close to home?

well catch.
ReplyDeleteWell spotted and well caught! The photo may be blurred but its still a good one. Its a great action shot!
ReplyDeleteThat's so interesting. I wonder if there are a lot of them around the airport. It seems like it might be a good place for an animal to hide out.
ReplyDeleteNot knowing exactly what a coyote is it looks like a dog to me.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it exciting to have one's camera at hand? Nice shot, Neva!
ReplyDeleteIt is interesting how these animals adapt to urban incursions on what was once their space to begin with.
ReplyDeleteIn the Bay Area, there are problems with wildcats from the surrounding hills making their way into residential areas.
Great catch, Neva! I was afraid with the safety of this beautiful animal...
ReplyDeleteI've never seen a coyote and somehow imagined them bigger than this. Good for you getting the shot.
ReplyDeleteHmmm. Coyotes seem to be moving into built-up areas around here too. They're getting used to us humans...and stealing our pets for food, I'm afarid: cats and small dogs.
ReplyDeletePoor thing! I bet it must be scared and lost, and hungry.
