Austrian Pines

These are Austrian Pines in our front yard that seemed to have gone haywire in their growing. I came home and found that my favorite yard guy (husband) had had enough and "trimmed" them.

The back yard looked like a tornado had come through...but no...it was just the electric saw run by hubby!

  1. Yay!! Charley. I have done a lot of limb and bush trimming this year too. We'll see what survives in a little while. There is a time for trimming certain species, but I cannot always wait for the right time. If they are in my way (mowing) or look really ugly--off they come, ( which ocasionally look uglier). Well, what is one to do? Just do it.

  11. Beware of a husband and an electric saw ... years ago my wife banned me from any trimming ... Even when I grew a beard if I trimmed it the results were very drastic and unsatisfactory (smile).

  12. Let me be the first to assure that hubby is really handy outside and inside....he built our deck and gazebo and did the brick walkway and I am lucky to have him and that he likes to do that kind of stuff in his free time....but put an electric power tool in his hand and I am afraid all bets are off....we are still talking but only because it doesn't look bad...NOW ask me how I felt when he cut down my Crabapple tree because he was tired of spraying it? (here's a hint--How do you spell COUCH?) haha
