A Jazz bar

 
This is a jazz bar in downtown Chicago at State and Cermak...called Reggie's. It is in what we call a "changing neighborhood".....and was actually very nice once we made it inside....

"Durty Nellie's"

 
This bar used to be down near here. when the city decided to revamp, they condemned the building this bar was in (it was very old and very decrepit). Durty Nellie's is a very popular Irish bar with music every weekend...sometimes the line to get in is around the building....this is across the street from the train(again!) and the parking building for the commuters is behind this. They do a booming business.

An Angled street

 
This is the angled street that I tried to get here! Oh well...practice and all that...what is missing in this one?

The train tracks are to the right in this picture. The new condos are at the end of the angled street. The bar is the building with the red roof.Click to enlarge and you will see a biker on the right toward the condos. Beetle, the red brick on the sidewalk is just decoration but I loved your comments!

The back of the bar....

 

The Lamplighter still looks good from the rear....This is the back of the very cutesy bar. Notice the yellow sign..they are trying to attract the commuters coming home from downtown Chicago. I am a bit of a beer snob, so 2 dollar 24 oz Bud Light won't entice me!

This is just down the street from the coffee shop. This entire block has had a face lift. It looks really inviting and cutsey all at the same time....The red, white and blue flags are decorations for our July 4th celebration.
