Bridge over a Bayou

Thanks to *Louis* over at San Francisco for hosting the "Bridges" series. Please stop by his place and see all the lovely bridges!
This photo is from the air as we flew into New Orleans. This bridge is part of the interstate highway if one would chose to drive to New Orleans. It is hard to drive in New Orleans as it is hard to orient to anything. Due to all the water around New Orleans, it gives a whole new meaning on how to find north, south, east or west! Enjoy all the bridges today!

  1. I've driven on it many times. But we call it a causeway. :)

    Nice view! And happy weekend!!

  2. A very watery scene. I get directionally challenged when on a small island out here--because I am surrounded by water. Thank goodness for directional setting in my car. LOL MB

  4. This is one of the better views of the bridge. I've driven over it and would prefer to see it from this angle.

  6. That looks like a really amazing bridge. I'm always astounded at bridges and how they work! So nice to get your comments, Neva. It's been far too long since we were in touch. So pleased to hear from you. Thankyou.

  7. This seems really to be a bridge! I was around there in 1965, but obviously the (Greyhound) roads were not the same (or I slept)! :-)
