Lake Shore Drive Bridges
I was downtown playing croquet this morning and had to drive down Lake Shore Drive. I was amazed at how many bridges I had to go under. This bridge is actually over the Chicago River and you can't see it other than the towers around it. I do believe it raises to let the boats go out to Lake Michigan.
Thanks to *Louis* over at San Francisco for hosting the Sunday Bridge series...click on the Golden Gate Bridge icon to see more!

Great photo...it's not easy getting a good shot of a very foggy day.
ReplyDelete"I was downtown playing croquet..." sounds like a wonderful 1st line to a novel. Do you do this often??
I can't imagine playing croquet in fog like this. Hope you could keep track of your ball -:)
ReplyDeletemust be a scenic view from this bridge when it's not too foggy.
ReplyDeleteI'm with Chuck, I was going to ask about 'fog croquet'!!! Have a great Sunday Neva.
ReplyDeleteI like the moody feel to this photo!
ReplyDeleteI love Lakeshore Drive! Have many fond memories of this place. :)
ReplyDeleteThere's even a song about it. "There ain't no finer place to be than runnin' Lakeshore Drive..."
With that fog, you could have been on the often-foggy Golden Gate bridge!
ReplyDeleteCroquet? People still play croquet?! Downtown?! In Chicago?!
;-D
Did the fog portend rain? Nice moody shot.
ReplyDeleteYou should not take photos driving, especially in the fog! ... but I guess you felt your blogging duties! :-)
