The Wetland meets the groomed yard

While I personally love the way this looks, those who have an inkling about the environment find this kind of thing appalling.....the "thing" being using the wetlands for a regular yard. I might point out that much of the surrounding area where I live is surrounded by some form of a wetland or preserve......I see both sides of this coin....one, as a homeowner and the other as an environmentalist sympathizer.

Icey water

It was pretty warm here the other day. Most of our snow has melted. The down side of that is the ground is pretty frozen and the culvert's are full of water and the water is not moving where it needs to go....I guess...I am not part of the army corp of engineers! This culvert does go to the wetlands but not yet! It looks a bit cold for me!

Winter Scene

There are only 6.5 square miles of our town. Only about 6700 people, according to the last census. Many areas look like this after the 6 or so inches of snow we got. This happens to look out over a nature preserve of some sort....not sure the exact nature as I did not walk it~
